Normally in touristic places, things are very expensive. Will you believe me if I tell you that there are not only free, but fantastic things to do in Grenada and Cordoba? After reading this, I hope you can save some of your money! And you will know that “free doesn’t always mean low quality!”

1. Free view point of Alhambra at Sacromonte

As you know, Alhambra is the most famous attraction of Grenada and we have to book the tickets, which are expensive, so early in advance to get the chance to once in a lifetime visit this place.

Most importantly, the number of visitors are strictly limited each day(like not more than 6,600 visitors/day), so there are a lot of people that can’t see how magnificent it is.

Anyway, if you are in Alhambra, you can’t get the view over it, right? Then, you can go to explore Sacromonte, the wonderful traditional gitano quarter of the city.

Take a good pair of shoes, as you have to walk up the hill, there’s a lot of surprise waiting for you. Not only the stunning view of Alhambra, but little roads, cute houses and its decorations will take your breath away! Let’s see some of photos!

2. Free Flamenco show

Flamenco dance in Granada is a must-see, but mostly you have to pay at least 15 euros to see the show, or even 25-40 euros/person to have a drink or a meal included. Why we have to pay this much, when there’s this spanish traditional dance for free.

Where and When? You can find it around popular squares. I got to see it in the end of the afternoon at Granada Cathedral and Plaza nueva. The dance was so beautiful, authentic and strong, the music was just perfect. If you like it, of course they would appreciate small sum of money or at least your applause to make them keep going this good job!

3. Free tapas at Bar Poë

The atmosphere got me think more of home than bar. The owner was very friendly and kind. And when you order a drink, you get a tapas for free!!!! How cool is that!

There are not many choices of tapas, but they are unique like you will never find the same kind of tapas somewhere else. Spending an evening at Bar Poë talking with people around the world would make you love Grenada even more!

4. Free entrance of Mosque of Córdoba (Mezquita–catedral de Córdoba)

Not many people know that we can visit this fantastic mosque for free from 8.30 – 9.30 am, normally it’s 8 euros/person. An hour is enough for this place? For me, it’s YES! Plus, there are not so many visitors in the morning. Imagine when you are the first who get inside and see it with no one around…Awesome, isn’t it?
